faq

How do i sign up for the retreat?

To reserve your spot, an $800 non-refundable deposit is required. Full payment is due July 1, 2026. Please refer to our cancellation policy prior to booking.

Is there wifi?

This retreat is a chance to step away from the noise and immerse yourself in stillness. While WiFi is available in the Onyx Lodge common area, we encourage you to minimize distractionsfor yourself and others—and fully engage with the experience. If you need to check in with family or access the internet, the communal space is available for that intentional purpose. Otherwise, we invite you to embrace the quiet, disconnect from screens, and reconnect with yourself and the natural world.

What food is served on retreat?

Seasonally inspired and ayurvedically designed breakfast, lunch and dinner are served on retreat in addition to coffee, tea and snacks. All meals are plant-based (vegetarian) and made in a meat and fish-free facility. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know prior to retreat.

Do I need to be an expert in yoga or have experience?

Absolutely not. This retreat is designed for all types of people with various levels of experience. There are no “levels” to the practice, just a group of people doing their best.

What is the weather and what should i pack?

Bowen Island in August is fairly mild but be sure to pack layers, a rain jacket, shoes for forest walks, yoga clothes, and a bathing suit for our experience at Mist Thermal Sanctuary. If you'd like to take a dip in Grafton Lake, be sure to bring a beach towel, too! Umbrellas are supplied at the center in addition to septic safe soap, shampoo and conditioner.

Do you offer payment plans?

YES! The deposit of $800 is due upon booking to secure your spot. Then, the remaining balance is split into three payments, with the final payment due on July 1st, 2026.

What if I need to cancel?

Retreat deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. Space is limited, and your deposit secures your spot. Final balances are due by July 1st, 2026.

If you cancel before July 1st, you will forfeit your deposit, but no further payment is required. If you cancel after your balance has been paid, no refunds will be issued.

We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. In the event of a cancellation, we recommend referring to your travel insurance policy for potential refunds. Please note that deposits and payments are non-refundable once processed. We encourage you to secure travel insurance to cover any unexpected changes to your plans.

Can I travel Solo? Can i share a room with someone?

Of course! Attending a retreat solo is very common and you can be sure to make amazing, like-minded friends along the way! However, we welcome you to reserve any of our accommodations with a loved one!
